This is my firist actuall painting, oil on canvas, for introduction to painting class. We were to mimic 3 other painters and compile them into one composition; mine was based on Albert Moore (the woman), Terry Frost (the background), and Koloman Moser (the top part of the woman and the hair).

Good job. There are several things that i noticed in your works. Your afraid to place strong shadows. In areas that lack light there tones should be very dark and outlines are more pronounced. areas that are well lighted outlines are thin or almost invisible.
In color paintings. If you wish to make the tone darker mix some browns or blue or reds. Don't use blacks cause it will look dirty. Avoid using dark outlines such as blacks, it will make your work look cartoony.
